LAWMAN SERIES TIE-INS
The pictures below illustrated a nice article on the Lawman series from the October 1959 issue of TV and Movie Western magazine. Ah, for those great days when there were enough television westerns to have a magazine devoted to them.
In episode 21, the interesting newsman Harry Tate was killed off and his uninteresting niece Julie, played by Barbara Long, was brought in. Neither she nor Bek Nelson, who played Dru Lemp the former marshal's widow, was a satisfying love interest for Dan Troop. Saloon owner Lily Merrill, played by the beautiful and charismatic Peggie Castle, arrived in Laramie at the beginning of season two and lasted for the rest of the run.
